Welcome to Tess Jasmine Photography

I am Tess, a published, award-winning photographer based in Karratha, Western Australia, specialising in Maternity, Newborn and Family Portraiture. I offer both outdoor and studio-based experiences that are relaxed, enjoyable and well-planned.

My vision is to create a stress-free, interactive and fun-filled experience designed to capture beautiful, natural photographs.

My style embraces simplicity with a fine art vibe. My editing is true-to-colour allowing the incredible vibrancy of the Pilbara landscape to form the perfect background, whilst your family pose front and centre.

I want your photoshoot to be more than a ‘shoot’. I want it to be an ‘experience’, a ‘premium experience’, from first contact through to the delivery of your final gallery and printed products.

I believe that you are hiring me to capture YOUR family. Not a Pinterest version of your family. Not the lastest ‘on-trend’ concept of a styled family. YOUR unique family along with your individual personalities, traits and connections.

During your photographic experience, I will direct, pose, prompt and give guidance to help you feel comfortable and at ease.

Throughout family sessions I draw on my experience as a trained teacher, and I follow the flow and energy of your children, so as to build up their trust and ensure they are happy and comfortable. This allows me to capture their unique personalities and quirkiness that you can look back on and remember for years to come.

I have an obsession with light and the way it can enrich and enhance images. I use the natural scenery, the light and your family to create beautiful, timeless photographic art.

I aim, not only to capture the milestones of your family, but also showcase the intimate connections and emotions between you all, whilst highlighting individual personalities and identities so that everyone’s uniqueness can be immortalised in every photograph.

After your session, I individually retouch and hand craft your photographs in Photoshop bringing them to life and enhancing the natural colours and beauty.

I believe your final images should be printed - the bigger the better - so that they can be displayed proudly around your family home.
